Week 4

I agree with the idea of pragmatism and also feminism. Both are interesting topics and they can make you think about what is important in our lives. One of them make more sense to relate to knowledge and it is pragmatism. Feminism talks more about right that women have and deserve. Pragmatism is more about thoughts and actions that confined bring consequences to our everyday lives. I think knowledge is complicated and so many different beliefs about many different things. In my opinion knowledge is what is real in our own minds. As we get older we get more knowledge, but knowledge will always be based on our beliefs.

I think methodological skepticism is used by a lot of people, including me. The doubts that people have about existance and what is real or not is seen all around the world. Some people may believe tehre is a God and others may not, but other people may think there is something that create the universe. These doubts get to a certain piont where they become true or false. For example: I may believe there is a God based on my religion, but when I think about other religions and the similarities about our believes; I change my mind. Now I believe that there is a God, but not the same God I though was named "X". There somebody above that looks after me, that cares and is comprehensive with me. That is what I believe. Other people may think I am wrong and that is fine, but they have to respect my way I see the reality; my reality. I agree that methodological skepticism is a good strategy because human minds are different and everyone has a different point of view things. I do not think any idea is wrong. I think other ideas are new worlds that we need to understand and learn from them.

Hi everyone!
I am Andrea Gaona. I work as a babysitter and I will be promptly a mom. Yes! I am expecting. I am looking foward to learn about philosophy. This is my first time studying in an online course. I think it is very interesting and a different way to see things. The chapters that we have read are inpressive. I did not have any idea of these characters. I do not really read about philosophy, but now I am very interested about the topics that we see. I want to be a psychologist and this course; I think will help me a lot.

hellooooooooooo..... Blog/week 1. At some point, I think Plato's ideas are right. Some people, including myself are blind and do not want to see different perspectives. Philosophy is liberating because it helps to express people's thoughts. It helps to discuss a certain topic and meet multiple and different ideas from other people. I cannot agree with pessimism because I am an optimistic person and I might say that people can live without a lot of things. The problem is that as human beings we tend to believe or imitate other people thoughts.
